Sorry for not being active here lately. I had an entrance exam for one graphic design school last Thursday and I had to do two A3 posters for it beforehand and drawing them took time. I was given an A4 full of information on brain health and the posters had to encourage young people to take care of their brains. What made this assignment even more challenging was that one poster had to be done using only typography (Haha, I didn't know what exactly is typography when I started working on the posters. A very good sign, indeed.) and the other poster had to be done using only visual means (How to make a brain health poster in which "the message is clear" when you can't use any text? Hmmm...).
Oh well, I accepted the challenge and I was able to draw the posters eventually (after many failed versions). When I had to present them during the group interview - which was one part of the entrance exam - and we were asked which posters were the best, all the other interviewees voted my posters. >/////< The interview went surprisingly well - I was the most talkative and cheerful person out of the group. ^^ (They interviewed four people at the same time.)
While the interview went well, the actual exam... erm... I ran out of time I was able to do every assignment somehow, though and the only picture you had to actually create (you had to illustrate one nursery rhyme) had to be done with watercolours. oTL (My weak point.) The rest tasks were copying, drawing shapes with certain dimensions (squares, triangles, circles...) in line without using ruler at all, building a paper tower... Yeah, I really couldn't show my skills during the exam. ^^''' I just hope they'll like the idea of my painting and I stood out in a good way during the interview.
This school isn't the one I really want to get into (The three-day-long entrance exam of that University will be this June and I got an invitation for it already. Fortunately, you can use the drawing tools you're most used to during that exam. TTwTT) but it would be good if I got accepted at least there... >:
Oh well, now that I don't have to stress over anything anymore this month, I can finally start drawing my own ideas again ~
