Description
A school work.
For this picture I had to search two artworks: one artwork which disgusts me and one which I like. After that I had to pick elements from both pictures and make a whole new painting using them. I chose Frida Kahlo's The Two Fridas and Rudolf Koivu's Goldfish.
- Elements I picked from The Two Fridas: two women sitting, one having something "broken" and the other having something "complete" (in this case: flowers), something that "unites" the women (the flowers) and the background.
- Elements I picked from Goldfish: an animal-like outfit (in this case: a swan), water and the design of the flowers.
This painting was a pain to do, because I had to use paints which I had never tried before (I haven't painted that much either) and I still haven't learnt to use them properly. ;___;
The size of the work: 64,5 cm x 54,5 cm

It's a nice piece and sounds like a good school project. As far as being able to use paints properly I think you did really well especially with the colors and some of the details as well. You only get better with practice but as far as I can see, you already have a good headstart towards greatness.
