Serval Adventurer

I've wanted to draw a serval character for a long time. Ah, they are just so elegant and beautiful animals. *w* Did you know that these beauties have the longest legs of any cat (relative to their body size) and because of this, they can leap 2 to 3 meters (7 to 10 ft) into the air and up to 3.6 metres (12 ft) horizontally from a stationary position? The long legs aren't just for jumping, though. Even though servals aren't as fast as cheetahs, they can achieve a top speed of 80 kilometres per hour (50 mph)!

And yes, those huge ears aren't decorations either. Servals have an acute hearing. While hunting, they may pause for up to 15 minutes at a time to listen with eyes closed. (That would be an interesting sight.) Servals are also extremely intelligent, and they demonstrate remarkable problem-solving ability, making them notorious for getting into mischief, as well as easily outwitting their prey, and eluding other predators.

Because servals have such awesome skills like that, I wanted to make my serval character to look like an adventurer who has more power on her legs than arms. (Servals are able to climb - and swim too - but they seldom do it.) I used the clothing of Maasai women as an inspiration for her clothing (example 1, example 2 & example 3), though it's not that notable in the final result since I added futuristic elements in the process. u.u'
I chose the Maasai people because they are located in Kenya and northern Tanzania - which are some of the places where servals live - and because they are well known for their dance adumu which is sometimes referred as "the jumping dance" by non-Maasai. x')
